Important Security Notes
- Never enable withdrawal permissions — Crypto Broker only needs trading access.
- Restrict your API key to your IP address whenever possible for additional security.
- Your API keys are stored locally on your device using OS-level encryption — they are never sent to our servers.
- If you suspect your API key has been compromised, delete it immediately on the exchange.
How to Create a Bitstamp API Key

- 1Log in to your Bitstamp account.
- 2Navigate to Settings > Security > API Access.
- 3Click "New API key".
- 4Set the permissions as outlined below.
- 5Click "Generate key".
- 6Confirm via 2FA and/or email verification.
- 7Your API Key and Secret are displayed. Copy them immediately.
- 8Activate the API key by clicking the activation link sent to your email.
